NEPAL
A team of 5 traveled to Nepal to train 3 general ophthalmologists as well as several residents in diagnosis and management of strabismus at the Medical College of Nepal in Kathmandu.
The Nepal Medical College and One World One Vision partnered for a highly successful mission in Kathmandu.
Pediatric Ophthalmologists and Anesthesiologists from around the country participated in a busy week of teaching in the classroom, the clinic and the operating room.
Dozens of adult and pediatric patients with strabismus were evaluated in the clinic and 4-5 were selected each day for surgical correction to give the best ratio for teaching surgical technique.
One World One Vision is looking forward to returning to Nepal. In the years ahead, we hope to build on the solid professional relationships we made and continue the transfer of knowledge in anesthesiology, pediatric ophthalmology, and strabismus.
